Aim For The Middle, AFTM, started as a bit of a running joke. Before every competition, my friends words of advice would be "just aim for the middle". The irony? In shooting, you almost never actually aim at the middle.
But the name stuck because it perfectly captures what high-level performance is really about, balance and consistency. It’s about finding that steady centre in your technique and your mindset so that the results take care of themselves.

About the Coach
Coral West (née Kennerley) is a former international air and sport pistol shooter who has represented Great Britain and Wales in World Cups, European and World Championships, and is a two-time Commonwealth Games finalist.
A senior British champion and international medallist, she has performed consistently at national-record scoring level, and brings extensive competitive experience from both ISSF shooting and the tetrathlon pathway. As an ISSF-qualified coach, Coral now supports athletes in West Wales and beyond from early competition development through to national and international selection.
